Scholarships For Asian Women
Research shows that minorities like Asian Americans and Hispanics out earn their white counterparts because they contribute to the diversity of a business community. Whether that turns out to 100% true or not, it is certainly true that there is no shortage of scholarships for minorities in America, including Asians. Below are some scholarships for Asian women that are available for the taking.
Before you look for scholarships it may help to determine what your projected majors in college are going to be. This is because scholarships for those who are working toward fields that are usually under-represented by minorities account for millions upon millions of dollars each year. These fields include science, technology, engineering, math (STEM), law, business and medicine. If you are interested in any of these fields, you should start your hunt for scholarships that focus in those areas because there may be slightly less competition to obtain them.

One of the best one-stop resources to find scholarships for Asian women is the Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund. Not only do they provide scholarships and grants on their own, but they also provide links to a multitude of other organizations that provide scholarships specific to those minorities. One of the best links from this site is the link to the Asian Pacific Fund, which provides 17 scholarships annually. To find out if you qualify for these scholarships, they require you to register with one or all of the following websites: fastweb.com, collegetoolkit.com, and/or scholarships.com. Once you have done that you can apply for any of the ones for which you are eligible, but you have to fill out and submit your application electronically.
The Asian Pacific Islander Organization is also an excellent resource. It is a non-profit organization that was established in 1998 to provide a forum for students and employees to exchange ideas, network, and potentially get training in certain areas. They offer funds from $1000 to $2000. Another organization that provides opportunities for Asian Americans is the East-West Center, which offers educational scholarship and fellowship options, as well as exchanges and professional development programs.
Scholarships for Asian women allow for more opportunities to create diversity in places of higher learning and in the growing global marketplace. There are plenty of them available so that, if you stay determined and focused, you can find the resources you need to get the education you want. Research your options, never give up, and you can reach your educational and career goals.
